Academic Review
On Friday, I attended my first in-person meeting at Melbourne Connect for an Academic Review of MC3. We started by looking over the new courseware template that will be used by the instructors to teach their content. The PowerPoint slides, graphics, and layouts have all been streamlined in accordance with the StarMaster brand.
After that, we took an hour to individually go through the microcredential and make notes on whether the course content is aligned with an Academic Guidelines Review. Then we came together to discuss our findings and make notes on any improvements or changes. During this collaborative stage, I was able to offer a different perspective of a student, like what I would expect from a marking rubric and the importance of citing references in an assessment. There was a lot of educational content in the course itself that initially went over my head, because I have next to zero knowledge about Space, but the other team members and especially my supervisor were kind enough to take the time to explain a few things to me here and there.
Task progress
I'm starting to reach the tail end of this hefty task. One of my responsibilities is to also edit the graphics in the powerpoint slides (that were originally created by the authors) to align with the new established brand guide and courseware templates that were finally approved this week.
